Our deepest sympathy to Dave, Shawn, Kathy and their families.  Gail was a beautiful, kind and loving person.  Each of you will have special memories of time spent with her.  Gail and Dave always opened their home to visitors.  We remember when they welcomed our son and daughter to stay at their home for two weeks when they travelled from Kitchener to visit Michelle and Shawn in 1995.  Anytime that we have been to B.C. we have enjoyed our visits with them.  Family was everything to Gail.  She absolutely doted on her three precious granddaughters.  Heaven has another Angel.

Yesterday during Gail's service , here in Ontario,  I chose to honour Gail by spending time with my young grandchildren  working together to water flowers and plants in my garden .

Hello. This is Linda , Gails cousin still living in Ontario. 

You have Bobs and my  VERY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES.   What a shock it was to get JoAnne s phone call. 
I wanted to tell you about the time we spent with her when we were at JoAnnes before and after our trip in march to Mexico. 
She said she loved to drive, so she drove us several places.  
A tour with Bob and I around  lots of local spots.  Stopping to see the view.  And the houses around your area.  And of course the beaches. 
She took JoAnne and I into  West Coast Seeds.  We even shared some seeds between us. So I have that memory of her when I look at the seed packets and the flowers that will hopefully grow. 

Grocery shopping was another day.  And a nice long visit at Joanne’s house with Bob and I. 
She said she still loved Ontario but the Whiterock area she loved more.  You could tell from how she talked about it.  I’m trying to send my two favourite photos I have of her. 
I know she loved her flowers.  But always mentioned how restricted she was with the small shaded back yard she had. 
She loved seeing my property with my large flower beds,through the pictures I would send. I was just about to send her more when I got the shocking news. 

I know words can’t express the loss we are all feeling.

It is with deep sadness and love that I reflect on the memories I hold of my beloved Auntie Gail. Her sudden passing has left a hole in our hearts, but her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will remain with us always.

Last summer, my husband Anthony, our children Summit and Soleil, and I visited family in White Rock, BC—a trip made especially meaningful because it was the first time Auntie Gail, Uncle Dave, Shawn, Katherine, Luca, Ione, and Zoe met our kids. From the moment we arrived, Auntie Gail and Uncle Dave welcomed us with open hearts. Their home was filled with laughter, stories, beach fun, and a delicious meal surrounded by family. What stays with me most is a quiet moment when Auntie Gail stood back, smiling ear to ear as she watched us all together.  It was clear the joy of togetherness meant as much to her as it did to me.

I hold so many cherished memories from growing up in Kitchener. Sundays were often spent at her home, greeted by the smell of her cooking and her loving embrace. We’d rush to the pool, surfacing only for dinner—always a lively, delicious, joy-filled affair. On treasured occasions, she’d join us in the water, spinning me around as I squealed with delight. I remember never wanting those nights to end.

Auntie Gail was a constant source of kindness and encouragement in my life. I admired her artistic gifts and deeply valued our heart-to-heart conversations. She’d often remind me how proud our grandparents would be, and her words meant the world. I’ll miss her sweet texts, family updates, and the photos she sent to keep us all connected.

Her presence was a true blessing. Though she is gone, her love and spirit live on in each of us—especially in those simple, sacred moments of togetherness she cherished most.

Rest in peace, Auntie Gail. You will always be in my heart.
