Hans Sture Lindh

On Saturday, June 1st, 2019, with great sadness, we inform you of the passing of Hans Sture Lindh. Loving husband & father of 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, & uncle and friend to many. Hans was born on May 23, 1932 in Stockholm Sweden. Hans grew up into an adventurous young man whom loved the ocean and deep sea diving. This led him to an afternoon of diving with the very famous Jacque Cousteau. At the age of 19 Hans decides to move to Canada and finds himself in Port Alberni, BC. Hired by the R.C.M.P. to deep dive to recover bodies. At 21 Hans meets and falls in love with Gloriana Jean. Soon after they wed, they welcomed Gunnar being his first-born, then Keith and Chrisann. Hans became an electrician and in 1965 bought their first home. Hans liked camping with his family and devoted several weekends to boys and girls in Jr. Forest Wardens. Hans enjoyed concerts with Nana Mouskouri and Dianna Krall. He loved jazz music and played the saxophone. Evening outings to the ice cream shop was a fave for Hans & Gloriana. Soft-spoken Hans really enjoyed his weekday league bowling with the guys. Not being able to have a honeymoon with whole family went to Sweden to meet Han’s parents. Hans was horribly taken by cancer. He will be sadly missed by his wife Gloriana, his sons Gunnar (Karen), Keith (Margaret) and his daughter Chrisann (Terry), grandchildren Katrina, Kayne, Jackie, Jason, Lars, Erik, Cassandra & Aaron, and 13 great grandchildren.
