

Harvey lived a full, happy and successful life. He was predeceased by his wife, Beth in 1991. Harvey is survived by his daughter, Shelley (Rick) Townsend, his son Paul, his granddaughters Trish (Mark) Douangchanh and Amy (Darren) Watts and his two great-grandchildren Kai and Ava Douangchanh.
Harvey was also predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Ellen Kennedy and his sisters Gwen, Thelma, and Adelaide. He is survived by his younger brother, Norm (Marlee) in Toronto, numerous nieces and nephews and his special friend Lucy Swan.
Harvey worked most of his adult life for Home Oil Distributors and Imperial Oil Company in home oil sales, marine sales and ultimately in the Human Resources Department as Personnel (Human Resources) Manager.
Harvey was a long time member of the Ancient Order of Freemasonry as a member of Trinity Lodge No. 98 in Vancouver where he progressed through the chairs up to Master of the Lodge.
He later served in the Grand Lodge of B.C. and reached the office of District Deputy Grand Master in 1982/83.
Harvey was a well loved and respected man everywhere he went and truly enjoyed his final years living amongst his many friends in his condo in South Surrey. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 10th at 1:00pm at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28 Avenue, Surrey, B.C. In lieu of flowers donations to Vancouver Children’s Hospital or The Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
