Born on December 17, 1933, in Luckenwalde, Germany, she lived through extraordinary times in her early years before immigrating to Vancouver, Canada in 1954, where she built a life rooted in family, resilience, and care for others.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Sid, her parents Gertrude and Herbert, her brothers Claus and Gunter, and her sister Christa.
She leaves behind her sister Marianne; and a cherished legacy through her children Wilfred (Kathy), Gunther (Diana), Gabriele, and Petra (Norman); as well as 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom will deeply miss her presence, strength, and unwavering love.
She was known for her strong work ethic, generous spirit, and her instinct to step in whenever help was needed. Caring for others was simply who she was, whether for family, friends, or those in need, she gave selflessly and wholeheartedly.
Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
