Joy Gertrude Conway

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joy Gertrude Conway on June 15th, 2024.

The loving daughter of Philip & Gwendoline Hall, Joy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Predeceased by husband Brian Conway and brother Byron Hall. Joy is survived by sons Martin (Patricia), Ian (Andrea), Gregory; granddaughter Christina, grandsons Christopher (Christiana), Lucas, Nicolas; and great-grandson Finnian.

Joy was born on July 2nd, 1938, in Kensington, England. It was there she met and married the love of her life, Brian. In 1968, Joy and Brian – along with their three young sons – left England and moved to Canada. The family of five travelled across Canada, eventually settling in White Rock, BC.

One of Joy’s greatest pleasures was her garden, which she tended with love and care. That devotion and dedication brought beauty and life to the home she and Brian shared together in their later years. After Brian’s passing in 1997, Joy surrounded herself with her friends and family. She continued to live for many more years in the home they shared, surrounded by Brian’s artwork and memory.

We will miss Joy’s kindness, warmth, laughter and grace. We can take comfort in the fact that Joy and Brian are reunited once more.
