

Joyce retired to BC from Winnipeg in 1994 along with her husband Reg, where they had several years enjoying their new life and some traveling.
Joyce loved to travel and in her lifetime was fortunate to live in Europe, Ontario, Winnipeg and then BC. She loved taking cruises and often talked about the trips she took.
Joyce was a great cook and often entertained many people in her home over the years.
Her greatest accomplishment was raising five children up to know the Lord. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Joyce raised five children, has 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Joyce was predeceased by her son Douglas, her husband Reg, her mother Amelia, father George, brothers Allan and William. She leaves behind her sons, Ken Peattie (Shelly), Allan Peattie (Sue), her daughters Janice Thompson (Gord) and Sharon Lawrence (Len), Daughter in law, Marion Peattie, Grandchildren, Jamie, Adam, Baillie, Riley, Jolene, Hailey, Mathew, Michael, Sarah and Jessica. brothers, Bob Hammond (Betty), Gordon Hammond (Sharon), and sisters Betty Woodiwiss, Shirley Winstone, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thank you to the wonderful staff that cared for mom at the Evergreen Baptist Care Home helping to keep her comfortable and loved until the end.
A gathering for Joyce will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Ave, Surrey, BC V4P1P3. A memorial service will occur Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 14831 28th Ave, Surrey, BC V4P1P3.
