

He is survived by his spouse, Nora, (m. 1994); his children: Andrea (Roger), David (Leah), Angela (Sheldon), sister-in-law Cathy (Don), brother-in-law David; Nora’s children: Chris (Deanna), Amanda (Al); and their respective grandchildren: Joseph, Ian, Evan, John, Kyla, Abby, Kira and Paige.
He was predeceased by his parents Harold, 1961, Dorothy (nee Porter), 1963, spouse Ann (nee Blizard), 1988, sister Bernice (Bunny)(nee Craig), 2007.
Len was born in Montreal, Quebec on April 18, 1944. He attended Montreal West High School and later studied Philosophy; at Sir George Williams University graduating in 1966. Len worked as a secondary school teacher; a commercial insurance underwriter; and later had a long career with BC Transit and the Coast Mountain Bus Company where he was a Community Relations Officer and educator. After retiring he became Chaplain at Laurel Place Care Centre in Surrey, BC.
He loved studying theology, gardening, airplane and ship modelling, cooking, reading and water colouring painting.
Len was ordained to the diaconate on June 26, 2005, at Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver. He served as Deacon at his and Nora’s spiritual home - Church of the Epiphany in Surrey, BC until his retirement in 2011, serving in many areas of the ministry including social outreach, pastoral care, and teaching.
He believed in a life of service, and many have forever been touched by his soft voice and gentle hands.
