Lily probably had a more active social life than all her children and grandchildren combined. She volunteered with Rebekahs, the United Church, Girl Guides, and Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary to name a few. Born in New Westminster, she lived in many cities across Canada before settling in the Lower Mainland.
Determined not to allow her lung condition to slow her down, she began blowing up balloons to decorate birthday presents. She also continued to host events for family and friends. Sadly, Lily lost her battle with IPF. She rejoins her husband George who passed in 1990. She is missed by her friends and family, including her children Janet (Derek), George, Barbara, and Brian; her grandchildren Mark, Alison, Emily, Amber, Nathan, and Jennifer; and her siblings Janet and Ron.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 16th at 2PM at the United Churches of Langley, Murrayville (21562 Old Yale Road, Langley, BC).
