After a life well lived, before being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, Lori passed away suddenly, and peacefully at her care home, Rosemary Heights Senior Village, Surrey, BC.
Survived by her 2 daughters, Sharon Simmons, Kelsa Kinsly, brother, Roger Elliott, grandchildren, Chelsea Simmons, Dylan Davidson, nieces, nephews and cousins. Lori was predeceased by her sister Donna Crosby.
She devoted many years of volunteer work. While living in New Westminster, she ran for the MLA Liberal Party. She then moved to White Rock in 2000. Her volunteer path included: driving cancer patients to appointments, victim assistance with RCMP, disaster planning with City of White Rock, President of SOS (singles over sixty), Newcomers group welcoming new residents into area, and campaigning for the Liberal Party.
She spent her last years in the facility being kind, compassionate, caring, always looking after the other residents to make sure they were okay. She always had a big smile on her face, and amazing positive attitude while being there. You will be missed but you are at peace now. She will be cremated at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, Surrey as per her wishes.
A small celebration of life will be held at a later date.
