Marcin Ireneusz Ruszkowski

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Marcin Ireneusz Ruszkowski, 44, who passed away peacefully and suddenly at his home in Surrey, BC on November 1st, 2024. He was born in Gdynia, Poland on April 3rd, 1980.

Marcin grew up in South Africa and moved to Canada at the age of 15. After finishing school, he joined the military and then went on to University while at the same time working as a firefighter and a paramedic. He eventually found his passion and followed a career path in IT. This was an area in which he was an absolute pro.

Marcin was a man of many talents with music and cooking being his best skills. He not only wrote and performed his own songs, but he could throw together the meanest omelettes. Everyone that knew Marcin loved him. He was a kind and gentle soul who always put everyone else before himself.

Marcin is survived by his mother, Grazyna Amelia Walker; father, Zenan Ruszkowski; fiancée, Deborah Marno; sister, Aneta Ruszkowska; brother Bartosz Ruszkowski; his stepfather, James Walker; stepmother, Ela Ruszkowska; his sister-in-law, Hafza; godson, Kevin; nephew, Colby; and his children Hailey, Carter, Desiree, Destiny and Danaia.

He will be missed greatly and will always be in our hearts.
