Pat lived in North Blyth except for a short spell in London where she went to work after leaving school. Following the death of her mother she returned to North Blyth to manage the family home.
Shortly afterwards, she met Frank at a local dance and they quickly became a twosome.
They were married in 1945 and often talked about the fact they were in London when the end of world war 2 was announced. They made their home with her father and provided a home base for her unmarried brother and sister. They had two daughters, Susan and Joan
In 1968 they made the decision to emigrate to Canada with the rest of the family. During their life in Canada they have lived in Saskatoon, Grande Cache, Merit, Sherwood Park and Surrey eventually settling happily near the ocean in the South Surrey area.
Pat had a varied career as an office worker, school Secretary and shop assistant in Jewelry stores and even operated a Sears Catalogue outlet in Grande Cache.
Following her retirement, she and Frank moved to a smaller home in South Surrey and enjoyed a few cruises, visiting their younger daughter in Saskatoon and with a group of close friends they took trips to Hawaii and could sometimes be found paying visits to the Casino. Finally they came to live with their daughter and son-in-law Ian Hodgetts, where she resided until she passed away on November16 of this year.
