Richard passed away on the evening of 19 January after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Richard settled down in Vancouver, BC, after an itinerant childhood across Canada. In Vancouver, Richard planted his roots and enjoyed a successful 39-year career in the food services industry as a proud salesman, retiring in 2017 as President of British Canadian Importers. In Vancouver, he also met his wife Janice, with whom he shared his happiest years along with their children Olivia and Garret. To Richard, no sacrifice was too great for the well being of his family and friends. He will be remembered by many for his lighthearted sense of humour, and his altruistic, kind-hearted nature.
