Sam Yurl Kim

It is with sadness that we announce the loss of Sam Yurl Kim (Burnaby, British Columbia) who passed away on March 27, 2026. He will be missed by all he touched with his gracious heart and generous smile.

Sam is predeceased by: his father Pastor Kim Hyun Jun and mother Won Soon Kyung.

Sam is survived by: his wife Kim Jung Sook, his daughter Helen, his son James, his grandson Zander, his siblings Kim Hyung Suk, Kim Sam Shin, Kim Hyung Won, Kim Sam Cheon, and his many beloved nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 11am at Grace Community Church, Vision Hall (9770 King George Boulevard, Surrey BC).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Alzheimer Society of BC/Yukon or Grace Hanin Community Church Mission Fund.
