It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom (age 88) who asked for so little but gave so much. A selfless woman we were so blessed that the angels chose her to be our mom.
She had a special quality about her and always left a lasting impact on whomever she met, with her kind, friendly and compassionate nature. As soon as you had the privilege to meet her your heart was uplifted, your mind calm and your presence warmly welcomed. She listened patiently with an open heart and when she looked at you with her smiling and sincere eyes you knew that she truly cared about you.
Mom was born in New Westminster, B.C. to loving parents; Bill & Ann Smyth and spent most of her life in the South Coast of B.C.. A dedicated hard worker throughout her life with B.C. Tel, assistant kindergarden teacher and switch board operator. She loved to sing & dance, and was a proud member for years with the Royal Canadian Legion. Mom loved to laugh, vacation, bowl, bingo, play slots and to cheer on the Vancouver Canucks. But most of all; her family, relatives and friends meant everything to her.
Mom is survived by her adoring children; Vicki (George), Steve (Susanne), Diane (Lauren), Alan (Nina). Her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Her brother; Ron (Bev), and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
No service by request, but a Celebration of Life will be held at an upcoming date.
Til we meet again Mom. Forever loved and sadly missed by us all. God knows what a blessing you were on earth as in heaven.
