William Gordon Tice

It is with much sadness that we allow Bill to Rest in Peace after a long journey with Lewy Body Dementia. Bill faced his challenges with the support of his loving family.

Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce; 3 Children and respective spouses, Elaine & Berndt Luchterhand, William & Sandra Tice and Louise & Paul Kapeikis, 6 Grandchildren, Sean Luchterhand, William Robert & Laura Tice, Sarah & Kirk Stotler, Kaela, Danika and Liam Kapeikis. Three Great Grandchildren, Everley Tice, Freya Stotler and William Beckham Tice. William has been the given name of the Tice family’s first son for 6 generations and that tradition lives on.

Bill was born in Edinburgh Scotland and married his wife Joyce in 1954 at the famous Greyfriars Church in Edinburgh. Joyce and Bill were blessed with three wonderful children Elaine, William and Louise. In 1969 searching for a better life, the family came to Canada but Bill never forgot his Scottish roots, he was a Scot in his heart and always enjoyed returning to Scotland whenever possible. Elaine, William and Louise grew up and married in Canada and the family increased with the birth of 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Bill loved his family and often spoke of how they were all good upstanding Canadian Citizens, they worked hard and supported their families, that being very important to him and made him so proud, perhaps he thought he had something to do with it and I am sure he did.

We will miss Bill, he was Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, brother, Uncle and friend to so many.
