

Albert F. Coutinho, Jr., age 78, of Rehoboth, passed away Sunday, May 3,2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Linda J. (Armitage) Coutinho, with whom he shared fifty-five years of marriage.
Born in Newport, RI, a son of the late Albert F. Coutinho, Sr. and Mary (Santos) Coutinho, he was a longtime resident of Rehoboth.
A graduate of Attleboro High School, Albert earned a certificate in tool making. He worked as a farmer when he was younger and then as a tool maker and carpenter for many years before retiring.
An avid pigeon racer, he belonged to the Fall River Pigeon Racing Club. A true family man, his favorite times spent were with his wife, children, grandchildren whom he adored.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Tami Coutinho and her fiancé Pete Choquette of Coventry; two sisters, Sue Dixon and her husband Fletcher of Marietta, GA, Karen Bora of Fall River; three grandchildren, Samantha Coutinho and her wife Puck Bokschoten of Swansea, Jacob Coutinho and his fiancée Jenifer Bolton of Lakeville, ME and Jeffrey De Sousa and his girlfriend Chloe Thibault of Rehoboth; three great-grandchildren, Addisyn, Rowen and Abram and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Albert F. Coutinho III and brother of the late Deborah Coutinho.
His funeral will be held Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 7:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours will be prior to his service from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Burial will be private.
