

Audrey Anne (White) Shott, 86, of Swansea died peacefully at her home on February 20, 2011. She was the wife of George J. Shott of Swansea and daughter of the late Thomas White and the late Mary White, both of Fall River and Tiverton.
Born in Fall River and a 1941 graduate of B. M. C. Durfee High School, Mrs. Shott lived most of her life in Swansea, where she worked as a secretary to the principal of Joseph Case High School for 16 years and as a teller at St. Dominic’s Federal Credit Union for many years. A longtime homemaker, she was previously employed by R.A. Wilcox Company of Fall River, Fall River Electric Light Company and Southeastern Massachusetts University.
After retiring from Case High School, Mrs. Shott served for many years as a volunteer at St. Anne’s Hospital of Fall River and at Birthright International in Somerset and Swansea. She was a former member of the Friends of the Cardinals and Joseph Case High School Scholarship Committee, and a communicant of St. Dominic’s Church of Swansea, where she was active in parish activities for many years.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Shott is survived by two daughters, Katherine M. (Shott) McDonough of Norwood and Barbara M. Shott of East Greenwich, R.I.; two sons, Christopher G. Shott of Swansea and Michael J. Shott of Akron, Ohio; two sons-in-law, Paul V. McDonough of Norwood and John F. Killoran of Somerset; a daughter-in-law, Elisabeth A. Bacus of Akron; Barbara’s companion, Douglas R. Shearer of East Greenwich; three sisters, Merna (White) Renaud of Fall River, Carlene (White) Plocica of Tiverton, and Ardith (White) Petrin of Orange; two granddaughters, Kathleen M. (Killoran) Milewski and her husband Michael, both of Framingham, and Ellen M. Killoran of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three grandsons, David P. McDonough and his wife, Melissa both of New York City, John W. Killoran and his wife, Jennifer, both of West Hollywood, CA, and Michael P. McDonough of Cambridge; a great grandson, John P. Milewski of Framingham; two great-granddaughters, Audrey G. Milewski of Framingham and Alice W. Killoran of West Hollywood; two sisters-in-laws; one brother-in -law:; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers, Thomas, Raymond, Walter, Gerald and Alvan, and one sister Mary.
Her Funeral will be held Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 9:00AM in St. Dominic’s Church 1277 G.A.R. Highway Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST 189 Gardner’s Neck Road Swansea. Burial will be private.
