Eva (Bouchard) Kearns, age 91, of Swansea, passed away Tuesday, March 01, 2016 peacefully at her residence. She was the wife of the late Michael T. Kearns to whom she shared fifty years of marriage with.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph Bouchard and Eva (Thibault) Gonsalves, she lived most of her life in Swansea and was employed at US Records for ten years. Eva loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Phaneuf and her partner Timothy Mcintosh of Swansea, Susan A. Costa and Fiancé Richard Costa of Somerset; one son, Michael K. Kearns and his wife Deborah of Bristol; six grandchildren, Brett Kearns, Evan Kearns, Cheyenne Phaneuf, Timothy Kearns, John Kearns, Polly Kearns; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and caring friend Alice Solimito. She was the mother of the late Timothy J. and John T. Kearns, sister of the late George Gonsalves, Jr., and Annett Leduc, and mother- in- law of the late Jeffrey Costa.
Private services are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, Swansea. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
