

Francis A. “Frank” Malky, age 87, of Swansea, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in the VA Medical Center in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jennie L. (Salwan) Malky to whom he had been married for 62 years.
Born in Aleppo, Syria, the son of the late Abraham and Kasma (Shaheen) Malky he was employed as a Machinist until his retirement. A United States Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion Post 303 in Swansea and a member of the American Lebanese Veterans Association in Fall River. Mr. Malky will be remembered most of all as a treasured husband, a loving father and a devoted grandfather.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by a son Mark F. Malky and his wife Pamela of York, SC; a daughter Mona Dumais and her husband Robert of Swansea; a brother Joseph Malky of Milbury, MA; five grandchildren Ryan, Jacob and Keith Malky, Ashley and Tyler Dumais and several great-grandchildren.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10am in St. Anthony of the Desert Church 300 North Eastern Ave., Fall River. His family will greet friends prior to his mass from 9 to 10am in the church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, Swansea.
