

James F. “Jim” Crosson III, age 59, of Swansea, died peacefully, May 27, 2011 at home surrounded by his family and close friends after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Jo-Ann (Andrade) Crosson,
Born in Fall River, a son of the late James F. Crosson, Jr. and Anne D. (Burke) Crosson, he was a lifelong resident of Swansea and a 1970 graduate of Case High School. He was the devoted father of James F. Crosson IV and brother of Richard A. Crosson, both of Swansea and Uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Robert W. Crosson and step-son of the late Marion E. Crosson.
Mr. Crosson was Co-owner and Treasurer of Crosson Oil in Fall River, retiring 6 years ago. He was a member of the Elks, Fall River Lodge # 118, and the Quequechan Club. A huge sports fan, he loved the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics! Jim played softball for the Swansea Hawkes from 1972-1978 and also enjoyed boating and cruising.
His funeral will be held Wednesday June 1, 2010 at 9:00 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd Swansea with a funeral mass at 10:00AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd. Swansea. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Fall River.
