Born in Fall River on March 8, 1962, Kenny lived a life rich with passion and dedication that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Kenny was married to his devoted wife Lisa (Rego) Medeiros for 30 cherished years. He leaves behind, daughter Brittany Tavares and her husband Andrew of Swansea, Massachusetts; as well as their son Shawn Medeiros of Swansea, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his loving mother Theresa Medeiros of Fall River, Massachusetts; brother David Medeiros and his wife Pamela of Milton, Massachusetts; sister Susan Dias and her husband Brian of Fall River, Massachusetts; along with several nieces and nephews who adored him dearly. For nearly four decades, Kenny served as a Senior Administrative Clerk at the Department of Public Works in Fall River before retiring in 2023. His commitment to public service reflected his deep love for the community he called home.
A man of many talents and passions, Kenny had an unwavering love for sports—especially when it came to cheering on his Boston teams. His athletic prowess extended beyond fandom: he was a professional golfer for an impressive 26 years during which he won numerous national tournaments that showcased not only his skill but also his relentless determination.
Kenny's journey through athletics began early when he played high school baseball for the Durfee Hilltoppers, then continued his education and baseball career at Rhode Island College before advancing to low A baseball with the Milwaukee Brewers—a testament to both talent and hard work that defined much of his life.
Beyond personal achievements in sports, coaching became one of Kenny’s greatest joys. He dedicated countless hours teaching young athletes not just about the game but instilling values such as teamwork, perseverance, and dedication—lessons that would resonate far beyond the field or court.
Family meant everything to Kenny. He found immense joy in spending time with loved ones—including their dogs—creating memories filled with laughter and warmth that will forever be treasured by those left behind.
