

Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Francisco and Adelaide (Tavares) Sousa. She was a lifelong area resident.
She previously worked for Swank, Spiedel and Bristol Knitting as a seamstress for 35 years retiring in 1998. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and also enjoyed knitting. She was a member of the Antonio Luso American Club.
She is survived by her two sons, George Alexander Vasconcellos and his wife (Eva) of Cranston and Richard Sousa Vasconcelos and his wife (Kelli) of Swansea; three grandchildren, Megan Bibby, Cameron Vasconcelos and Tori Maduro; two great-grandchildren, Ella Bibby and Anthony Bibby. She was predeceased by her daughter Lee Vasconcelos-Dolan
Her visiting hours will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 8:30AM to 10:30AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11AM in St. John of God Church, 1036 Brayton Ave, Somerset.
