

Mary E. (Rebeiro) Goff, age 83, of Swansea, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of James R. Goff Jr., to whom she had been married for the past 63 years.
Born in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Morris) Rebeiro. She spent her youth in Dighton and lived in Taunton and St. Augustine, Florida for many years before moving to Swansea in 2005.
A graduate of Taunton High School, Class of 1957, she worked as a Key Puncher at Princess House for ten years.
A longtime communicant of St. Bernard’s Church, she was also member of the Women’s Guild at St. Joseph’s Church in North Dighton where she taught catechism. Mrs. Goff enjoyed knitting and completing puzzles.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Michael J. Goff of Fall River, Richard R. Goff and his wife Cindy of Taunton, Stephen K. Goff of Taunton; one sister, Rosemary Kennett of St. Augustine, FL; three grandchildren, Amanda Reopell and her husband Matthew, Curtiss Goff and his wife Shelby, Evan Goff; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Reopell and Grace Goff and several nieces and nephews. Mary was the sister of the late Carol Bernier and Marjorie, Loretta, John and Sr. Ann Rebeiro.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:00AM in St. Bernard’s Church, 30 South Main St, Assonet. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451. Burial in Assonet Burying Ground.
