

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Francisco “Francis” Gracia and Joana (Medeiros) Gracia.
Stephen was a longtime communicant of St. Dominic’s Church is Swansea where he helped with weekly offerings. He participated in the Special Olympics for many years where he competed in track and field events. Stephen was a lifelong New England sports fan and enjoyed attending Red Sox games and watching the Patriots, Bruins and Celtics games on tv. He loved country music and enjoyed singing and playing country songs on his guitar. Stephen visited the Grand Olde Oprey where he went sightseeing and attended concerts. He also enjoyed visiting Disney World.
Above all else, Stephen loved spending time with his family and had a close relationship with his beloved niece Nicole and brother David (Oscar). They shared many fond memories together, such as sharing inside jokes, watching Regis and Kelly, attending church and enjoying holidays. Stephen also loved his cruise nights spent with his uncle Gilbert DeMattos. He will be remembered as a courageous man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Stephen is survived by his brother, David Gracia and his fiancé Cynthia Fox of Riverside, RI; one niece, Nicole A. Gracia of Swansea; great-nieces, Maddison Cabral and Delilah Andreozzi and one great-nephew, Logan Andreozzi.
His Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 8:00-9:30 AM in Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd, Swansea followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Dominic’s Parish Center, 1277 G.A.R.
