Theresa M. Bernier

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Oliver “Toots” and Marie Antoinette (Charest) Parent, she lived in Swansea for most of her life.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, she attended Bristol Community College. She worked at Knights Service Station in Fall River and at Hallmark Greeting Cards in Swansea for many years.

Mrs. Bernier was a member of a senior bowling league and the Swansea American Legion Post 303.

She is survived by four sons: David N. Bernier and his wife Marilyn of Swansea, Paul J. Bernier and his wife Therese of Fall River, Dennis C. Bernier and his wife Patricia of Swansea, Michael P. Bernier of Somerset, two sisters: Rita Thibault of Somerset, Doris Souza of Fall River, one brother: Philip Parent, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Norman “Bo Bo” Parent.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00PM in the Master Builder Christian Church, 397 Bay St., Fall River. The family will receive guests prior to the service from 1:15 to 2:00 in the main entrance of the church. Additional parking in the rear of the church. In lieu of flowers contributions in her honor may be made to the United Way of Greater Fall River, 80 North Main St., Fall River, MA 02720. Burial private. Arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, Swansea.
