Doreen Keagan

Its with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our grandmother, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, Doreen Keagan who passed away at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Wednesday February 4th surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sydney Mines to Florence Forrest and the late David Forrest on February 25, 1962.

Doreen was a quiet person, who loved spending time at home with her family. She had a huge heart and would always put others ahead of herself. She enjoyed crafting, hosting family dinners, BINGO night with the girls, spending time with her grandchildren, shopping and hanging out with her sister (and partner in crime) Deneene.

Doreen was predeceased by her husband Angus, her father David and her sister Deneice.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her mother Florence, her sons Jordon, Nathan (Jennifer) and Hunter (Tiffany), grandchildren Hannah (Travis), Danica (Jeremy), Mia, Ella and Joel, Great grandson Henry, siblings David (Eileen), Paul (Lori), Don (Laurie), Travis (Laurie), Deneene (Roger), Michelle and Joeliene (Duane) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and her four legged friend Bean.

Visitation will take place from 7 to 9pm on Wednesday, February 11th at Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, 8 Clyde Ave, Sydney Mines. Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 12th also at Filmore and Whitman Funeral Home. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting fillmoreandwhitman.com.
