

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear
loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, George Richard
Hardy, on March 28, 2015.
Born in Ingonish, he was the son of the late Richard and Laura Hardy.
George was a member of the Ingonish Volunteer Fire Dept., for 49 years,
and also worked for Eric¹s backhoe and trucking Inc. for 15 years. He
loved the outdoors, as well as hunting and fishing. He particularly
enjoyed his morning coffee and drive, while observing the wildlife. He was
a gentle, kind, loving man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his beautiful wife, Cecile (Bisaillon) Hardy; children,
Pauline Hardy (Joey), Steven Hardy (Martina); sister, Joyce Powers
(Wayne); brothers, Austin Hardy (Judy), Clements Hardy (Delia);
grandchildren, Destiny, Dustin, Ashley, Cheyenne, Julie, Richard, Landyn
and Bentley, also survived by many very special, and close nieces and
nephews.
Visitation for the late George Hardy will take place Friday, April 3,
2015, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home,
Ingonish. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. in
St. John¹s Anglican Church, Ingonish.
Donations in memory of George can be made to the St. John¹s Anglican
Church Renovation fund, the Ingonish Volunteer Fire Department or a
charity of choice.
We wish to thank Dr. Murray, and the doctors and nurses and staff at
Buchanan Memorial Hospital as well as the Ingonish Volunteer Fire
Department and paramedics who responded.
