James MacLean

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Marilyn (Zwicker), sons; Barry (Carol), Eugene (Sarah) and Lorne (Jennifer). Grandchildren Jennifer (Brad), Jessica (Dylan), Abby and Aidan, great grandchildren; Mattea, Ethan, Jenelle and Damien. Jim also leaves behind his great, great grandchildren Lily and Arthur as well as sister Cora Murphy, brother Gordon (Dianne) MacLean, sisters in law; Irene MacLean, Louise Fitzgerald, Holly (Robert) Doyle and Jill MacLean and brothers in law; Edward Pearson and Albert (Pauline) Zwicker.

He is predeceased by his parents, brother Rod MacLean, niece Janet MacLean, father and mother in law Willard and Ruth Zwicker, sisters in law; Kay Pearson and Winnie Murphy as well as brothers in law; Herb Murphy, Innis Murphy and Sanford Fitzgerald.

Jim was an accomplished carpenter who worked for several construction companies before starting with Parks Canada where he remained until his retirement 19 years ago. In his retirement he enjoyed working in his woodshop creating numerous dories, whirly gigs, crib boards, toys and inukshuks, which are displayed in numerous homes across the country. He was always a welcoming host and enjoyed a good game of crib. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date.
