It is with a broken heart that we announce the sudden passing of Neil David LeBlanc on May 27, 2025 in Halifax. Born in Sydney Mines on Nov. 16, 1955. He was the son of the late Wilson and Ann LeBlanc. David was a heavy duty mechanic and worked on jobs all across Canada as part of the Labourers Union Local 92. He was a jack of many trades and was always willing to share his skills and time with anyone who needed them. David only recently retired and was enjoying time spent with family and friends. Some of his favourite activities included his regular card games and frequent visits to his local Tim Hortons to hang out with friends. He will be missed and lovingly talked about by everyone who was lucky enough to spend time with him and listen to one of his many tall tales.
Besides his parents, David was also predeceased by his wife Miriam Ann (nee MacRae), daughter Laurie Ann Rendell and granddaughter Hailey Ann LeBlanc. He is survived by his daughters Barbie Rendell (Scott), Sonya Lawson (Glen) and his son Wilson David (Deanna), granddaughters Kendell, Keagan, grandson Tyler, great granddaughter Delilah and brothers James (Ann), Johnny, Danny (Judy), sister Cathy (Billy) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he was close with.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, June 4 at Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines with a reception immediately following at the Sydney Mines Pensioner's Club. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting fillmoreandwhitman.com.
