Anne M Robertson

Born in Sydney, Annie was the daughter of the late Mary (Aboud) MacNeil and Moses Aboud. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart parish and the Sacred Heart C.W.L. She was also an associate sister of the CND.

Annie always enjoyed meeting people whether she was at bingo, a hockey game, working at Crowell’s or volunteering at MacGillivray Guest Home and Harbourstone Enhanced Care. Being young in spirit made her an avid spectator of many sports especially golf and attending the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles games. She always maintained her curiosity in current events. She spent many happy times in Irish Vale and also enjoyed all of her travels elsewhere. Her fondest memory was working with her father at the Radio Quick Lunch. Although she spent the last year of her life in the comfort and care of Seaview Manor, Annie’s life centered on her unconditional love for her family and she was a fond believer of keeping in touch with family and friends.

Annie is survived by five sons, David Jr. (Irene), North Sydney; Kenny (Barbara), Dartmouth; Donnie (Linda), Sydney; Gregory (Arlene), Sydney; Eddie, Sydney; four daughters, Helen McLellan (Bill), Sydney; Carole Anne Youden (Robbie), Sydney; Rosanne Cameron (Jamie), Sydney; Michelle Morrison (Peter), Bedford; 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, four sisters, Sr. Helen Aboud CND, Sydney; Josephine Aboud, Sydney; Theresa McKay (Gordon), Alberta; Rosemary Wheatley (Phil), Halifax and brother Allan Aboud, Sydney. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Dave; brothers Charlie, Joseph and Michael and sisters Josephine and Marina.

Visitation for Mrs. Robertson will be at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel on Sunday, March 31 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Monday April 1 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Anthony O’Connor officiating. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
