With heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Annie Jane Elizabeth Peck on November 25th, 2024, at the Halifax Infirmary Hospital, Nova Scotia Canada surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia she was the daughter of Martha Ann Lewis & Benjamin Peck Jr of Wagmatcook First Nation.
Annie survived by her brothers Vernon, Pavel, Wendell, Ronnie and Trevor her sister Felicia. Her Grandfather Gordon Lewis Godparents Mary Anne Googoo and Evan Francis. Her nieces and nephews Vayda, Lyla, Dimitri, Lyon, Zayden and Lorenzo. Uncles and Aunties.
Annie was predeceased by her grandparents Annie Jane Googoo (Lewis), Elizabeth Francis (Peck), Benjamins Peck Sr. and numerous aunts and uncles.
She graduated from Wagmatcookewey School in 2023. She loved music such as Adele, Eminem, Hoisner, Elvis Presley, ColdPlay and Gospel songs. Annie was a political person she enjoyed watching Canada House of Commons. She enjoyed listen to Barack and Michelle Obama. She loved watching her shows such as Man-tracker, Family Feud, Cat in The Hat.
She enjoyed visiting her best friend cousin Lance and enjoyed being with her family at home.
She loved to socialize with family and friends in the community, you always seen Annie with a beautiful smile alongside with her mother.
Annie had a rare disease called Syngap 1 Syndrome and the only case in Nova Scotia. Annie held a workshop alongside with her mother and our great friend Monica in May 2024. Annie and her mom had attended conference in 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Annie was well known all over the world by her Syngap1 Syndrome Family through social media.

Visitation for the late Annie Jane Elizabeth Peck will take place at her residence 26 Humes Rear East Loop, Wagmatcook First Nation on Saturday Dec 7th, 2024 at 7:00 pm. Funeral will take place Dec 9th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Queen of the world church Wagmatcook. Burial to follow at the Wagmatcook Cemetery.
