

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Anslem Bernard MacLean announce his passing on August 28, 2020 with his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth “Betty”, by his side. Born in Sydney on August 20, 1943 to the late Angus and Pauline (McDaniel) MacLean. He worked for 31 years with the NS Liquor Commission.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Betty, children Michael (Halifax), Michele (Sydney), Marsha (Edmonton), Mark (Megan) (Halifax) and daughter-in-law Theresa, grandchildren Matthew (Sydney), Mitchel (Natasha) (Sydney), Brettany (Craig) (Halifax), Nathan (Amanda) (Sydney), Maria (Tyler) (Sydney), Natasha (Jordy) (Halifax), Nicholas (Sydney), Owen (Halifax) and Lillian (Halifax), great grandchildren Dominic, Declan, Dawson and Macy (all of Sydney), brothers twin Al (Edna) (Edmonton), Colin (Margaret) (Glace Bay), David (Ontario), sisters Georgina (Ontario), Patricia (Ontario) and Barbara (John) (Ontario) and friends. Besides his parents Anslem was also predeceased by his sister Helen. Due to current restrictions a celebration will be announced at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
