Born March 3rd, 1953, in Glace Bay, Arlene was the daughter of Mary (Connors) and Reg MacDonald. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers, Reggy and Kevin MacDonald. Arlene is survived by husband, David Nichols; son, Derek (Natalie) Halifax; daughter, Deborah (Andrew) Halifax; granddaughter, Madison Nichols Halifax; sister, Brenda Anderson; sister in law, Brenda MacDonald, Glace Bay, mother in law Victoria Nichols, Sydney.
Cremation has taken place under the care of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
