It is with broken hearts that we the family of Calvin Gerard Poulette announce the loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend on December 28, 2024. Born on October 12, 1966 to the late Raymond and Mary Diane (Toney) Poulette.
Music was always a big part of Calvin's life. He played with the original band Silvermoon with bandmates the late Stephen "Ekkian" Martin, late Billy Gould, late Noel Martin and Esmond "Blue" Marshall. He played bass and guitar right up until his end, enjoying the pleasure of music and the joy it brought to himself and others. As a man of faith he used his music in service to his community, singing in numerous church choirs. Calvin also had a big heart and helped out where he could, volunteering with the fire department, driving community members to medical appointments or delivering food or medication to someone who needed it.
Calvin is survived and will be dearly missed by his spouse Judy Marshall, his children Jake MacDonald (Paulina), Darlene Marshall, Tekakwitha Johnson and Ann Marie Paul, grandchildren Triceson Marshall, Brayden MacDonald, Izabella MacDonald, Lincoln MacDonald, Amber MacDonald, Elijah MacDonald and Beau MacDonald as well as nephew Makenzie Poulette and niece (godchild) Danielle May Poulette.
Besides his parents, Calvin is predeceased by sister Sonya Marie Poulette (infancy), brothers Kevin Poulette, Raymond Poulette and godparents Mary Josephine Peck and Lloyd Toney.
A visitation will take place at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni starting at 7pm on Monday, Jan. 6 with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting twcurry.com.
