Clayton Michael Dennis, 55 of 130 Spencer Lane, Eskasoni, passed away February 17, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Battiste) Dennis.

He was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. Clayton was always happy-go-lucky, he loved to play cards especially 45’s and was always ready to help families, particularly when the caring for children was needed; his door was always open.

Clayton is survived by his wife the former Catherine Paul; sons Stuart, Frank, Clayton Jr. ‘Magoo’ (Giselle), Timmy, Melvin, all of Eskasoni; brother Lyndon; by his close friend Jackie Paul; sisters Mabel (Michael) Deslauriers, Toronto; Paula, Joyce Bernard, Wendy Francis, Peggy, all of Eskasoni; grandchildren Cole, Norelle, Nikkiah, Jason, Kai, Zane, Francis; foster child Baby Q; godmother Mary Lee Dennis and 2 godchildren Heidi and Mary Ann, all of Eskasoni.

He was predeceased by a son Clayton, brothers Perry, Stephen, Muldoon, Athanasius, John Noel and sisters Lena and Denise.

Visitation for the late Mr. Dennis will begin on Tuesday after 7 pm at the family resisdence 130 Spencer Lane, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
