It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Edna Jane Ratchford announce her peaceful passing on December 20, 2021 at home. Born in Glace Bay on June 30,1929 to the late James and Blanche (Hubert) Lawrence, Edna is survived by her husband Gerald, Sydney and daughter Betty (Dave) White, Stillwater Lake, NS. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Bill and her first husband Lowrey Purves.
Edna was a very kind hearted and loving individual who will be missed for her keen sense of humor and wit. She loved her daily visits from the CB County Homemakers and always enjoyed a laugh with the many individuals who provided support and care over the years.
There will be no visitation and a funeral service will take place at Holy Rosary Parish, Westmount on Dec 23rd at 11am. Proof of vaccination and photo ID required to attend.
We are forever grateful to the dedicated staff at the CB County Homemakers and the VON for the exceptional care they provided over the years.
