Ella MacIntosh Macdonald

She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Sydney. Educated in Pictou County, Ella later graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Sydney City Hospital School of Nursing. After a brief nursing career Ella married Philip Macdonald and has since resided in Sydney where she raised her family. Throughout her life Ella was an avid skater and also greatly enjoyed the time spent on the farm in Sandfield with family and friends.

Ella is survived by two daughters Catherine McCharles (Grant), Sydney, Elizabeth, Halifax; two sons, James P (Marilyn), Sandfield; Kemp (Elaine), Halifax; seven grandchildren Stephen, Grant, Rebecca, Hannah, Carrie, Elizabeth and Katherine; three great grandchildren Bryn, Ewan and Caelin; sisters Marion, Christena, Catherine and brother John and numerous nieces and nephews

Besides her parents Ella was predeceased by her husband Dr. Philip Macdonald, brothers James, Alexander, Robert and Donald; sisters, Janet and Margaret.

Visitation will be held 7-9 pm April 24 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday April 25 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Rev Robert Lyle officiating. Interment at Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
