I never met anyone before who was like her . Always a huge smile . Just a beautiful  lady who was high on life . You will be sadly missed . 

Eugene, Bradley, and Tessa, I was so sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. My brother,  sisters, and I had such a great time when Ellen looked after us when we were young.  I'll be thinking of you all.



I will always have such happy, positive memories of Ellen from our childhood spent together.  Not only was Ellen so much fun to be around but her thoughtfulness and kindness will remain with me forever.  I think every child, at some point, experiences that occasion when the neighbourhood kids won't let you join them to play and when those occasions happened for me, I could always count on Ellen to be my friend and playmate.  We were more than just cousins. We shared so many laughs and special times.  When I reflect upon my childhood memories, Ellen is always there, smiling.  Rest in peace, beautiful, gentle soul.

Ellen I can’t believe I’m writing this , even though time has passed &  our children took us our separate paths I knew as a friend you would always be there . So glad we had a chance to catch up last week at your Aunt  Olga’s memorial . My heart breaks for your family 💔 !! I knew Ellen  for many many  years .
The things I remember most of all was her kind heart, sense of humour, and making anyone feel that they were the most important person in the room.
 She cared about everyone.
I am it shock.

I have so so many great memories of ellen (bid). she made me laugh every time we talked as she always had stories to tell. I am married into this family and i can say, without hesitation, that this family is every bit my own and ellen was every bit my sister.  i will miss her dearly. my words cannot truly express the loss i feel. i'm so happy to have met her.

How can one put into words so many great memories of Ellen. Always ready with a hug and motherly advice. We are so lucky to have known her and have her as a part of our lives over the years. Our sincerest condolences to Eugene, Bradley & sweet Tessa and all of Ellen's loved ones. 

My sympathies to all of you, especially Colette and Elizabeth.  Your family home was always filled with laughter.  For whatever reason I thought of Ellen a few days ago even though I haven’t seen her since high school.  This is all so sad, unbelievable.

So sorry to hear about Ellen's passing. I remember years ago going to a wedding for her younger sister Elizabeth . Ellen's generosity in taking us into her home and the hospitality she provided while there I always remembered with great appreciation. Her mom and dad were like that too. All tremendous people. My  sincere condolences to Eugene, their children Bradley and Tessa and the rest of her family.

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ellen a little over 4 years ago.  Our daughter, who has autism, was on Gerard and Ellen's bus for 4 years. I knew our daughter was in good hands since the first day we met. So caring and compassionate she was. Always bought her gifts for her birthday, Christmas, grading day and a big bag of treats on Halloween. We are all so saddened to hear this news. The world has one less beautiful soul in it, but heaven gained the most perfect angel ♥ God bless you all!

Living here on Schaller Drive, we have had the opportunity to watch Ellen and her siblings grow up. As we recall, Ellen always had a smile with much kindness. Our sincere condolences to Eugene and all her family as they journey through their grief with her loss.
Due to a commitment in Halifax we are unable to see you all at the wake and funeral.

Ellen always had a smile that would light up the world. As I reconnected with Ellen recently, she spoke to me about God, and the love she had for her children, Eugene and her brothers and sisters and of a truly special bond she had for Colette and George. She lit up when speaking of her job on the bus with the children. She truly was a special soul and the Holy Spirit just shine through her. She told me of how much she still missed her dad and I know that when Jesus met her that night He brought her right into the arms of her dad. I always carry the poem the dash in my phone and as I offer my sincerest condolences to all her family, I encourage you all to read that poem and remember that Ellen truly lived her dash well. 

I have known Ellen since we were kids, but really got to know her when our kids were growing up.  We shared our fears and hopes for them, always with lotsa laughs thrown in.  She was very special lady.

Ellen spent this year with my daughter on the bus. She sat with her every day since her  first day of grade primary. We will never forgot her kindness and sincerity in helping us begin our education journey. Ellen will be missed by me and all of the other parents and chicken on her bus run.

I have such wonderful memories of growing up with my cousin Ellen and her sister Colette. We lived just down the hill and had such good times singing Tammy Wynette songs and swinging amongst the apple trees next to their house.   My sister and I had great sleep overs at Colette and Ellen’s home.  Thank you for giving me such beautiful childhood memories that I have cherished all of my life.  It is with great sadness that you leave all of us behind, but there is great joy for you as you reunite with your Dad and all those who have gone before you. 

Moving into a new neighborhood....Ellen saw that our daughter was nervous on the first day of school and enlisted sweet Tessa to take Holly under her wing.  Ellen  had her thumb on the pulse of Mountainview Elementary and she always treated the kids with respect and fairness.
 We  will always  remember you Mom for her love, warmth and kindness that she exuded everyday.
