It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gord Graham on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Gord was born in Toronto to the late Alex and Florence (Harrington) Graham.
As a young man, he enlisted in the Canadian Air Force and travelled extensively as a radar technician. On an early posting to Sydney, he met and married his loving wife Zita Christine (MacKinnon) of Glace Bay. Gord enjoyed his 25 years of retirement in his adopted home of Cape Breton, surrounded by his loving extended family and his good neighbours both on the street and at the Bonnie Prince. He enjoyed watching baseball, his stamps and reading and especially loved his garden and yard and would start and end many a day outside.
Gord treasured his family and will be missed by all his children , grandchildren and great grandchildren: Susan Ratchford and family, Ryan (Krista); Ken (Adele) and family Jessica (Justin), Kendra (Kyle) and Robyn; Darren (Debee) and family Gord (Michelle), Jill (Fred) Lubbe; Greg and family Nicole, Amanda and Alex; Zita (Ron) Stanley and family Jacob and Elijah and great grandchildren Echo, Rachael, Sam and Andy.
Gord was predeceased by his sister Marilyn Bartley.
There will be no visitation for the late Gordon Graham. A funeral service will take place at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel on Saturday at 10 am with Padre Donald MacGillivary officiating.
