Louis Michael Peck, 19 of 4510 Shore Road, Eskasoni, formerly of Logan Drive, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 suddenly at home.

Born in Sydney, he was the son of Kirk Peck Sr. of Eskasoni and the late Martha (Herney) Treige.

He was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni.

Louis was presently enrolled at UTEC, Unamaki Training Education Centre. Louis enjoyed playing video games and loved to play his guitar, especially when jamming with his friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Kassie and a son James; partner Kass Bernard, the mother of his children; 2 sisters Kate and Taite; 4 brothers Rio, Kirk Jr. (Jody Johnson), Timmy and Kendrick, nephew John Alby, both grandmothers, Louise Poulette and Jane Rose Peck, all of Eskasoni. Also survived by numerous cousins, several uncles and aunts and godfather George Herney.

He was predeceased by a sister Tara, also by godmother Catherine Herney and grandfather Louis ‘Oboy’ Herney.

Visitation for the late Mr. Peck will take place after 7 pm at his father’s residence, 4512 Shore Road, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
