

Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Bridget Kyte.
Until her retirement, she was employed with N.S. Power in Sydney. She was a member of Sydney Pensioners, Club 55 and the NS Government Retired Employees Association.
Mary is survived by daughters Jocelyn, Sydney; Jane (Robert Libbus), Alberta and son Kenneth (Germaine), Sydney. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, six brothers George (Shirley); Joe (Joanne); Bernie; Paddy (Jackie); Kevin (Donna); Leo (Mary Jane); four sisters, Rose (Hector) MacKinnon: Veronica (Wilfred) Cormier; Irene (late Ray Penney) and Pauline (late Howard Wadden) and one special brother-in-law Pat Burns (Kaye).
She was predeceased by her husband George, a son, a daughter and a brother in infancy; son-in-law Donnie MacLeod, daughter-in-law Beverly McLeod and grandson Peter McLeod.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service celebrating Mary’s life will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, Westmount, on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Patient Care Fund at CBRH or a charity of choice.
