Pamela Ann Doucette, 49 of Eskasoni, passed away July 15, 2012 at her home. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of Abraham Doucette of Eskasoni and the late Anna Jean Johnson. She was blessed to have lived with her foster parents the late John S. and Florence Denny and her extended families the Denny, Dennis (Mary) and Sylliboy (Sarah Mae) families.

She was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. Pam was a homemaker who loved her children and family very much. She made many pilgrimages to the St. Ann mission in Chapel Island. She is survived by her former husband, Kenneth Lafford of Eskasoni, 5 daughters, Lynn, Abegail, Winter, Keanna, and Hanna; 2 sons, Judd and Levi all of Eskasoni and by her 2 god children, Johnathan and Sean Roache.

She was much loved by her siblings, Iris (Raymond) and Gail (Darren), both of Eskasoni, Terry Doug (Anna) Paul of Shubenacadie, Vernon (Norma) and Lawrence (Sarah), both of Eskasoni; 8 grandchildren, Brooke, Jac-zi, Antwenet, Skyanne, Odessa, Dante, Katherine, and Kiera; sister-in-law, Betty Doucette.

Predeceased by the love of her life the late Clarence ‘McGee’ Gould; 3 brothers, John Duncan, Norman ‘Inky’ and Keith Raymond Doucette, and god daughter, Anastasia.

Visitation for the late Pamela Doucette will begin after 7 p.m. July 19th at the Gabriel Centre., Eskasoni. A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21 at Holy Family Church, Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating with interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
