Peter Francis MacLeod

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Francis MacLeod on Feb. 8, 2025 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born July 24, 1937 at Oceanview, CB. He was the son of the Late Donald Archie and Maryann (MacIntyre) MacLeod. He worked at the Sydney Steel Plant and was later a self employed drywaller and painter. He is survived by his wife Eileen Marie (Hayward) sisters Rose & Carmelita, brothers Gerard, Connie (Wilma), Jim (Sharon), Donnie (Marg) and sister-in-law Linda as well as numerous nieces and nephews including Carol Ann Fahie. He was predeceased by sisters Annie Theresa, Marion and Delores, brothers Michael and Gerome , sister in law Peggy, brothers-in-law William, Gordon and Glen.

Special thank you to Dr. Jessie Baxendale and all the staff on 3B and emergency ward for the kindness and respect given to Peter.

Visitation will take place from 6-8pm on Thursday & Friday at TW Curry Parkview Chapel.

Funeral Mass at Holy Redeemer Church, with Fr. Paul Murphy will take place at 10am on Saturday, February 15. Interment to take place at St. Anne’s Parish Cemetery in Glace Bay at a later date.
