It is with saddened hearts that the family of Peter Anthony Poulette announce his unexpected passing at his home in We’Koqma’q on January 23, 2021. Peter was born on April 27, 1957 to Peter L Poulette of Whycocomagh and Pauline R. Poulette of Barra Head and grew up in Eskasoni.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Mary Pauline, sons Michael (Cynthia), DJ Googoo (Georgette) and Jeremiah Googoo (Laurelle), daughters Mary Louise Googoo and Chelsea Googoo, his treasured grandchildren Raiden, Kayson, Connor, Donald, Rylan, Niko, Lorali, Jeremiah, Emery, Cara, Henry, Taylor, Sarah, Kenzie, Tyrrell, Samara and Darius. Peter is also survived by his brothers Thomas Poulette (Sagmaw), Reginald Poulette (Bimbo), his god children Patrick Jeddore and Marlena Paul as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Peter was predeceased by his brother William Francis and nephews RJ, Josh and Jimmy.
Peter was a man who loved the simple pleasures of life his grandkids, watching TV, going for a drive and a good meal. He was an excellent cook. Peter worked for many years as part of the Eskasoni Cemetery Crew.
Due to current Covid restrictions, visitations are not permitted. A family funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni with Fr.
