Roderick Joseph MacKinnon died at Harbourstone Enhanced Care on November 24, 2014.He was born on January 19, 1930 at Island Point, Southside Boularderie to Archie and Margaret (Campbell) MacKinnon. After serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force, he was employed with Devco at Princess Colliery and the Wash Plant. He is survived by a brother, Bernard: Halifax. He was predeceased by his brothers, John Francis and Michael, and by his sisters, Mary, Christine, Catherine and Florence. There will be no visitation. Internment will take place in St. Joachim’s, Southside Boularderie, at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
