Vera Rachel Desveaux

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Vera (Brezuk) Desveaux on November 16, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Mary (MacKinnon) and Joseph Brezuk. She was a homemaker who loved her family dearly. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by her husband, Leo Charles Desveaux and her daughter Ann Marie (Danny) MacPherson; her sisters Annie Mae, Katherine, Marjorie and Helen and a brother, Joseph.

Vera is survived by her son, Richard (Betty) Desveaux and daughters, Judy (Gordon) Poirier and Linda (Nick) LeBlanc. She has 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, November 20 at St. Theresa’s Church, Sydney, Father Jim Oliver will officiate. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.

Donations in memory of Vera can be made to Mass For Shut-Ins, which she watched faithfully and was a great comfort to her. The family wish to thank the Home Care Angels, the nurses on 4C and Dr. Buhariwalla for their wonderful care and compassion.
