Wilfred Joseph Paul

He went to CBU and studied engineering and computer science. He worked for many years in Eskasoni at Dream Catcher Housing, and served as a well-respected Band Manager for Eskasoni. He was a goalie for the Eskasoni Eagles and he was a very talented musician in many bands including his latest band Silver Moon. He was an acoustic player who was very well known for his talent. He was a very great chess player as well. He loved his music, but most of all he loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children; Tonia Paul, Stephen Paul, Wilfred C. Paul, Shawn Paul and their mother Pauline Isadore, children; Andrea Paul (Patrick), Nadia Paul and their mother Lorna Paul, children; Mise’l Paul, Jordan Paul, Keena Paul, Katelyn Paul and their mother Michelle Paul. Also left to mourn are his brothers; Allister Paul, Alfred "Goly" Paul and Mike (Gwen) Cremo, his sisters; Mildred Poulette, Mary Elizabeth Doucette, Bridget Ann Herney and Gloria Paul, as well as his sister in law Karen Paul. He will be missed by all his grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his godchildren; Kelly Marshall, Edmund “Joey” Paul, Aaron Paul and Hope Battiste.

Wilfred is predeceased by his parents John Denny Paul and Mary Margaret Cremo, his brothers; Stephen “Ekkian” Paul and Basil Paul, brothers in law; David Poulette, Seymour Doucette, Bobby Herney and Wilfred Gould.He is also predeceased by his niece Victoria Lynn Paul, nephews Buford “B.J.” Gould, Allister Jr. “Babe” Paul, Robert Curtis Paul and Basil Jr. Paul.

He will be missed dearly by all who knew him, and his many countless friends.

Visitation for Wilfred will begin on Monday, August 14th after 7pm at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 16th at 10:30am at Holy Family Church in Eskasoni, Fr. Antolin Asor and Deacon Tom Sylliboy to officiate. Burial and salite to follow.
