Mrs. Ami Hollis Smith, age 52 of Sylacauga passed away at her residence Saturday, November 1, 2014. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 4 at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church in Childersburg with the Rev. Frank Thompson, Rev. Bobby Brooks and Rev. Steve Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, November 3 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband Howard Smith; son, Brian "Bo" Smith; mother, Lou Ann Hollis; brother, Andy (Gina) Hollis; niece, Sydney Hollis; aunts, Judy (Michael) McGee and Virginia H. (Alton) Smith; uncle Wendell (Lisa) Elliott.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her father, Mickey Hollis; grandfathers and grandmothers, Lowell and Ila Elliott and J.D. Hollis and Zena Hollis.
Pallbearers will be Clay Hernandez, Adam Hernandez, Phil Brooks, Justin Carter, Chris Williams and Eric Watts.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and she served as church secretary until her retirment for health reasons two years ago.
