Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Barney Ray Anderson, 78, will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Tim Wilson officiating.
Mr. Anderson passed away Friday, January 6, 2017, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Elvira Anderson; sister, Virginia Robinson; and brother, Lonnie Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served 4 years on the aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Hornet. He was a member of the Sylacauga Church of God and had worked for 17 years at Western Savings Bank as a Banking Office Manager.
Mr. Anderson is survived by three sons, Jeff Anderson, Clint Anderson, and Wesley Anderson; daughter, Karen Darby; sister, Margie Wallace; and granddaughter, Jade Anderson.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
