Funeral service for Carolyn J. Presley, age 83, of Sylacauga will be Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11AM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with Rev. Gabe Herndon officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
Carolyn J. Thomas Presley, born February 12, 1938, in Sylacauga, Alabama went peacefully to be with The Lord on February 7, 2022, with her loving husband of 67 years by her side. Mrs. Presley is survived by her husband, Elbert Presley of Sylacauga; daughters Rhonda Presley of Anniston and Sandra Presley of Lincolnton, NC; grandsons Garrett Herndon (Lauren) of Winston-Salem, NC and Gabe Herndon of Lincolnton, NC; sisters Shirley Hale of Kissimmee, FL and Jackie Helms (Keith) of Montgomery; brother Clark M. Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Presley was a kind, intelligent and beautiful Christian woman who enriched the lives of all that she knew. She retired from Wal Mart after many years of service. Mrs. Presley was a poet who enjoyed the beauty of flowers, birds and music among other things. She was an extraordinary wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Mrs. Presley is dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all."
